The August issue has an interesting letter from Michael Peabody who compares the budding relationship between the church and Hollywood to an abusive relationship. The boyfriend humiliates and embarrases the girlfriend while keeping her around with "faint praise." He then concludes that the church needs to have some self-confidence. No more pandering.

I found your page after searching blogsearch.google.com for "Christianity Today" and "Evan Almighty". I wanted to see if there was anyone else out there who find the false cover advertisement obnoxious. I'm no one of consequence and my opinion matters little, but for whatever its worth between one stranger to another, I thought it felt too close to an endorsement for my comfort.
