My amazing wife and I have been married for five years today. What adventure it has been. And with our first baby on the way . . . the adventure continues!

"The Levites . . . instructed the people in the Torah while the people were standing there. They read from the Book of the Torah of God, making it clear and giving the meaning so that the people could understand what was being read." (Neh 8:7-8)
On blogging etiquette, try to remember: "For all who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted" (Luke 14:11). "Outdo one another in showing honor" (Romans 12:10).

From a very new reader of your blog: Congratulations! And from a mama of a toddler: Parenthood will be amazing and rewarding, but get all the sleep you can now.

Patrick! Congrats on both counts … my 21st anniversary was yesterday. Once you have children the time simply flies by and somehow stands still all at once. I’m not certain how that is, but it is.
I have a fourteen year old daughter and as we sat in a restaurant the other day a young couple came in with their little girl, who looked to be about 1o months old. Suddenly I could not account for the time between when my daughter was that age and now. I don’t know what happened to it. Yet I’ll bet she’s the most photographed child ever.
Oh well … that’s the long way of saying, your life is about to get very adventurous in the most mundane ways. Congratulations on 5 great years and here’s to many more adventursome years as a family!!
