Peace Programs at US Christian Schools
Michael Westmoreland-White has posted a helpful list of colleges/universities that host peace programs in the United States, which should be of interest to both potential faculty applicants as well as high school students (or their parents) interested in peace studies. My friends at the newly-formed The Peace and Justice Academy (a Mennonite Christian Secondary School in Pasadena) should find it helpful. My alma mater, Messiah College, makes the list for its Peace and Conflict Studies minor. Check it out.
Anonymous Millionaire Donating to Female-led Schools
Inside Higher Ed reports that the anonymous millionaire that has been mysteriously donating big bucks to schools (nearing $70 million now) around the country seems to have a pattern: they are all schools with a female president.
If said millionaire, or group of millionaires, happens upon this blog post, I’d like to remind you that Messiah College is one of the only Christian schools (are there any others?) in the country with a female president. That is certainly a worthy cause
